Saturday is Warhammer Day! It’s also Halloween, so to prepare, we’re taking a look at some of our favorite terrifying Warhammer miniatures. Thousand Sons Their whispered war cry is the last thing you will hear. These living armors cannot be reasoned with, they cannot be stopped, and they are armed with magic guns! Once proud Space Marines, the Rubric Marines are now nothing more than a pile of dust and a corrupted soul, trapped within power armor forever and commanded like a puppet by the arcane magic of warp-driven sorcerers. Some fates are worse than death. Blood Angels What would Halloween be without vampires? Blood Angels may not dislike garlic, but they are incredibly elegant and crave the taste of blood. Just remember, Space Marines have two hearts, so you better bring two bets! The Blood Angels have a second flaw, Black Rage, and none have been able to overcome it. That was until Mephiston, chief librarian of the Blood Angels, crossed the Primaris Rubicon and seemingly left his curse behind. But don’t think it won’t nibble your neck. Necrons While they may appear skeletal, no organic matter can be found on a Necron Warrior. These immortal automatons march without fear or mercy in lockstep with a determined desire to destroy all living creatures in the galaxy. You may be faster, but they will chase you forever. Necron Warriors form the undead legions of dynasties, and if it weren’t terrifying enough to stare into their dead, soulless eyes, then their weapons can flay the flesh of any living creature. On top of that, one of their star gods was death incarnate and is said to be the inspiration for the Grim Reaper. Nighthaunt Nighthaunt are not mere ghosts, they are bitter, ethereal spirits that inflict terror and drag down the souls of the living. Not to put too fine a point on it, these are not kids wearing sheets with eye holes. No figure in the worlds of Warhammer embodies the misery of the restless undead more than Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief. She is despair made manifest, sadness given form, and mortals in her presence are overwhelmed by a fear so potent it can silence the heartbeats of even the strongest opponent. Gloomspite Gitz While the varied assortment of creatures that make up the Gloomspite Gitz may seem “fun” to the casual observer, make no mistake, Squigs have very sharp teeth. And many of them. When the grots arrive on the battlefield with a horde of squigs, woe betide anyone who underestimates these ferocious creatures! Little more than mouths with legs and a terrible appetite, Squigs are feared in the Mortal Realms, capable of destroying even the most powerful enemy in a crimson blur. Space Wolves The full moon shines through the inky black darkness. A blood-curdling howl is heard on the moor. The Wulfen are part Space Marine and part wolf, and are probably the closest thing to a werewolf in the 41st Millennium. The Wulfen are bestial warriors, altered by the curse found in the gene-seed of all the Wolf King’s descendants: hunters who advance with fangs bared and claws extended. They are fast and hit hard with claws, teeth, and a variety of deadly weapons. Join us in the store to celebrate Warhammer Day and Halloween! You can choose other terrifying models, such as skeletons, zombies and other undead warriors. Additionally, you can get Oath Fulfilled, the special commemorative miniature that, if blessed enough by the Dark Gods, could appear on this list for next year.
