Apple just had a busy September, but from what we hear, the company plans to continue releasing new products in quick succession over the next few months. Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, launches in October and may look like it could seal the fate of the iPad mini. But the smaller iPad has proven to be quite resilient over the years, and given how cheaper the iPhone Duo is ($599 vs. $1,999), it will probably stick around for a while. According to MacRumors, Apple is preparing to launch the next-generation iPad mini, featuring an A20 Pro chip, a landscape-oriented front camera, and a new speaker system. We also previously heard that the iPad mini will be waterproof and could come with a slightly larger OLED display. There is no information on the exact release date, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously said that it could launch in late October. Crushable speed of light But that’s not all. Apple also plans to launch the HomePod mini 2, which will likely feature a new chip and support for Siri AI. It will also come in five colors: green, pink, blue, white and black (all of these are new in addition to white and blue, but even that will be a little lighter than the shade of blue currently offered). The launch window for the HomePod mini 2 is less clear, but it should happen before the end of the year. Finally, Apple is likely to launch the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. It will look exactly the same as the current model, but will come with a new chip (likely A17 Pro or better), 8GB of RAM (up from 4GB on the current model), Siri AI support, a new N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, and a redesigned remote control. Again, this doesn’t tell us much about the exact release date, but Apple will likely reveal several of these products together, possibly in October.
