The Ravens needed the win in a closely contested division. The Steelers offense showed life in a 30-27 win over the Bengals, with Aaron Rodgers finally hitting some deep shots after two weeks of being incomplete. If Pittsburgh’s offense can keep making plays and Rodgers isn’t split down the middle, the Steelers will be a tough out. Cincinnati’s defense bounced back a bit after an excellent start to the season. That’s not a big surprise. However, Cincy didn’t lose because of that. The special teams woes were the real killer, as the punt team gave the Steelers additional opportunities. Joe Burrow still had a shot late, but a fumble on the final drive sealed it. It’s a painful loss for a division rival, but it shouldn’t worry Bengals fans. The Browns defense locked down again to improve to 2-1, hindering Bryce Young and a Panthers offense that had moved the ball well the first two weeks. Deshaun Watson showed that when you avoid the big mistake, you can be a net positive for Cleveland and make winning plays. That’s new.
