Second October ‘event’ possible with new Macs as the focus

Apple already has an unannounced product reveal scheduled for October 13, and rumors suggest a second round of launches could happen later in the month. It’s shaping up to be a busy October for Apple, as the iPhone Duo ships, Apple Home gets several new products and now a possible launch of a new Mac. Previous rumors placed the Macs in November, but it looks like the “Scary Fast” event could repeat itself in 2026. According to anonymous sources who spoke to MacRumors, a second product is expected to launch in late October. That’s all the rumor, what follows is speculation. Previous rumors called the October 13 reveal of the new Apple TV, HomePod mini, and Home Hub an “event,” but Apple has yet to treat it as such. Most likely it will be a press release accompanied by an announcement video without any press day event. While this rumor calls October’s second product announcement an “event,” it’s unclear if it will have an in-person component. New Macs with an M6 processor are expected, as well as the rumored OLED MacBook Pro with a touch screen. Nothing else is known about this possible product announcement. It’s an unknown at this point. The original “Scary Fast” event took place on October 30, 2023 at an unusually late time. The iMac with M3 and the basic 14-inch MacBook Pro were presented at the event.
