Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson had his suspension reduced to one game on appeal Wednesday. He will be on unpaid leave Sunday when the Rams play the Cardinals. Bills pass rusher Bradley Chubb, who took a hit from Jackson after Monday night’s game, said he learned a valuable lesson from the incident. “I, personally, learned that I’m going to have my hands up or wear a helmet,” Chubb said, via ESPN’s Nick Suss. Chubb admitted he started the conversation between the two men after the Bills’ 37-34 overtime victory. “I’ll tell you exactly what I said,” Chubb said at the practice facility on the UC Irvine campus, where the Bills are practicing this week. “I heard he was talking about his mom. That’s not true at all. I said, ‘Let’s see them again, and when we see them again, all that chip’s not going to save them. That tight end and that guard’s not going to save them.’ He said, ‘What did you say?’ I told him, ‘That chip won’t save you.’ The guard won’t save you. And then boom.” Chubb, who has not heard from Jackson since the hit, said he was proud that he did not retaliate and receive his own suspension. If the teams play again this season, it will be in the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in February.
