The Best Prime Day Video Game Discounts for PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox — 18 Best October Deals

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is now live and there are plenty of great gaming deals to check out as part of the limited-time offers. These are exclusive to Prime members, with deals available from October 6-7, so there’s only a short window available to find some deals. Whether you’re on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, or PC (or all four!), there are plenty of discounts worth checking out on games, accessories, storage, and more. I’ll leave some highlights right below, but read on for a deeper dive into the deals available over the next 48 hours. TL; DR: The best Prime Day game deals today PSA: You’ll need an Amazon Prime membership! If you don’t have an annual Prime membership, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial if you’re new, or $15 for a month if you’re already a member. If you are a student, Amazon also offers you a break, as students and anyone under 24 can get a free 6-month trial and then a 50% discount on annual membership. So far, 2026 has been an excellent year for video games. So good, in fact, that it can be a little difficult or expensive to keep up with them all! Luckily, there are some really good deals available in the latest Prime Day sale, and I think they’re all worth considering. For starters, critical favorites Star Wars: Zero Company and The Blood of Dawnwalker are now on sale for PS5 and Xbox consoles. Zero Company is down to just $47.99, $12 off its list price and the first big discount since its launch day. It’s also a first-time discount for Dawnwalker, down to $59.49, more than $10 off its MSRP of $69.99. Both games received scores of 9/10 when reviewed on IGN, making these recommendations easy. Amazon Prime Free Trial and Memberships 630-day free trial, $2 for 7-day trial, 6-month trial for young adults (18-24). Pragmata is another standout game of the year, also marked down to $39.99 for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. While another 2026 hit, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, is also down to $59 for PS5 and Xbox, a $10 savings, as is The Blood of Dawnwalker. Resident Evil: Requiem is also reduced to just $49.99 on Amazon for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2, and it’s my favorite game of 2026 so far! If you’re looking for proper discounts (and I mean way more than $10 off), let me mention a few other highlights. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 for just $16.99 is a real bargain, and I’m pretty sure it’ll sell out before the sale ends on October 7. Over a hundred hours of content for just $17 is crazy, and this is my best sale deal yet! Remake Intergrade is also $19.99 for PS5, while both games have also dropped to their lowest prices for Switch 2 ($24.99 and $34.99, respectively). Other top deals include Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for $19.99 on PS5 and Xbox – that’s $50 off for a limited time and a fantastic deal. We gave this a 9 in our IGN review last year, and I highly recommend the game myself as it’s an absolute blast. Well worth the 20 dollars. Video Game Console Deals: Prime DayNintendo Switch 2 Console Deals Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle + Mario Kart World + 3-Month NSO Membership 0 Save $37.98 on everything instead of purchasing it separately. Obviously, most retailers will highlight the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle in the sale, even if it’s not technically a sale item. You can save $37.97 by purchasing this bundle, instead of purchasing the console, game, and NSO membership separately. It’s certainly not as good as the bundle we saw for the Switch 2 at launch, but considering the price of those bad boys has gone up this year (along with everything else, right?), it’s still not a bad deal and worth highlighting. Another thing I’ve mentioned is the Gears of War E-Day Xbox Series X bundle that’s available as part of Best Buy’s Techtober sale (rivaling Amazon’s Prime Day deals, of course). The Xbox Bundle is priced at $819.97 and includes a 1TB Xbox Series The total savings is $150 and while it’s not a bad deal, it’s still expensive and will probably only appeal to a select few. At $820, this will be a tall order for many of us, and while I’m cautious about giving any kind of financial advice, Best Buy also offers the option to pay over 12 months at $68.34/month, just so you know. Overall, the bundle is worth considering if you’re okay with digital-only gaming (especially with Xbox letting you digitize your game discs now) and are looking for a way to play GTA 6 and the critically acclaimed Gears of War E-Day. PS5 Console Deals PlayStation 5 825GB Console 0 For those looking for a PS5, as well as an Xbox, I recommend checking out the deals at Best Buy right now. While there aren’t any decent deals on the standard PS5 consoles, you can still buy a refurbished 825GB PS5 (yes, the large version) for $549.99. That’s a savings of $100 compared to buying a new PS5, and it’s worth considering if you’re desperate for a console before GTA 6 comes out next month. Speaking of which, Best Buy is currently offering a $50 reward certificate to anyone who bundles a Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-order with an eligible PlayStation 5 or Xbox console, including the refurbished model that’s on sale right now. Not bad; If not, maybe wait and see what deals pop up on Black Friday! I would also recommend considering a certified refurbished PS5 directly from PlayStation through the PS Direct store. A refurbished PS5 currently costs $549, while the refurbished PS5 Digital Edition costs $499. That makes the choice between Best Buy and PlayStation a little more interesting. For the same price, the PS Direct option gives you the newer PS5 design with 1TB of storage, although you’ll be giving up Best Buy’s $50 reward certificate offer. Save on select Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 0 pre-orders These deals may not be related to the ongoing Prime sale, but they are video game deals worth mentioning nonetheless. Some upcoming Switch 2 games (Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metroid Ravenous, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort) now have $10 off their pre-order prices. [Digital Code]0Amazon has reduced the usual list price of this $10 gift card by 10%, so you can get it for $8.98 instead. It’s a nice little deal to add to your cart, especially if you’re shopping for the holidays for a Nintendo fan. The store page notes that you can also buy up to 2, so why not buy the second one as a little gift for yourself? Should you wait for Black Friday? Honestly? Probably, yes. While Amazon’s October Prime Day sale (Prime Big Deal Days) is a good opportunity to score some good deals, most of the time these deals will reappear in a month or less, as they were, or as even better deals. If you can hold out, I will always recommend waiting a little longer to save a little more. That said, there is a rare chance that certain offers worth taking advantage of will appear as soon as possible. Myself and the rest of my team will often try to advertise these deals when we can, so that you have the best chance of getting them. Otherwise, consider the rest of this article a helpful guide to what’s on sale, what you can buy if you want, and what prices to look for when the Black Friday sales finally hit in November. The only other reason I would suggest not waiting is if you value your time more than your money. Now it seems like an obvious statement, but it is not always a luxury that we can all have. If you desperately want to play that game like now and it’s driving you crazy, or your TV broke or you lost your headphones, sales like this are a great opportunity to pay you on time, so you don’t have to stress or worry about anything. Whatever the case, do what is best for you. I’m just a little fool who writes about silly little deals on a silly little website.
