It’s September 28 and Honor introduces the Magic 9 Pro Max with a sleek design and an exciting upgrade over the previous generation phone. From the name and appearance to the internal specifications, the company has completely revamped its annual flagship. It’s time to explore the top-notch smartphone. Magic 9 Pro Max debuts as the first Honor Pro Max flagship smartphone. The company already gave a glimpse of the device at the ROBOT PHONE launch event. Now the phone is official. Honor Magic 9 Pro Max comes in three premium shades: Olive/Moss Green, Silver, and Shadow Black. The first visible change in the flagship is its appearance. Instead of the same giant circular camera ring in the center, Honor has significantly improved the look of the device this time around. Design The smartphone has a wide rectangular frame at the back that houses a huge grill-designed imaging ring on the left side, which houses a large LED flash, periscope zoom, and ARRI branding. On the right side of the wide bezel, the device has two vertically arranged button-type sensors for the primary and ultra-wide-angle sensors, giving the device a premium look from the back. The company collaborated with a German camera manufacturer, ARRI, and implemented its cinema-grade features in its new flagship. The high-end model supports Honor’s self-developed H1 imaging chipset and an ARRI Log C3 curve-enhanced videography segment, which is really effective and produces a cinematic feel to the footage with more refined quality than the digital look of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The lens is further paired with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 200MP Samsung S5KHPE OIS, CIPA 8.0 periscopic telephoto zoom snapper. The front has a 55MP selfie shooter. Notably, this camera sensor makes the Magic 9 Pro Max the first Android phone with a square format selfie camera. Microphone: Magic 9 Pro Max exclusively supports a cinema-grade shotgun microphone combined with two 1216 speakers.
