Epic has confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s will be joining Fortnite for this year’s Fortnitemares event. After months of rumors and teases, a new trailer formally confirms that Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria will appear as a location on the map, with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy as bosses that players can take on in a fight. Fortnite x Five Nights at Freddy’s official reveal trailer. Watch it on YouTube “It’s almost showtime!” Epic announced. “The Fazbear Band has taken over Battle Royale. Take on the animatronic animal bosses and survive the night… if you can. Fortnitemares starts October 1!” The crossover has been expected for some time, with the pizzeria appearing on the island during Fortnite’s Override season and recent Fortnitemares hinting at security cameras and FNAF dialogue. The spooky annual Fortnitemares 2026 event begins on October 1. Over the summer, Epic Games settled a court case against a contractor accused of leaking Fortnite information. Former contractor Hayden Cohen accepted a ruling that prohibits them from “possessing, accessing, using or disclosing any confidential information or trade secrets of Epic,” including a prohibition on providing confidential information to other third parties as well.
