“Let the kids play” is something many parents say when watching youth sports. However, one Wisconsin father decided he wanted to be part of the action in a wild scene. Last Saturday in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, a father ran onto the field during an under-10 soccer game and tripped a 9-year-old boy who was on his way to score a touchdown. The boy was running towards the pylon when the father ran onto the field and stuck out his leg, taking out the runner. The man who tripped the boy was found by Mount Pleasant police and given a citation for disorderly conduct, according to FOX 6. He reportedly admitted he was wrong and cooperated with authorities. The coach of the tripped player, Channing Schultz, said the man intended to hurt the boy. I had nothing but intent.” Schultz’s Case Eagles play the Milwaukee Colts again in two weeks, and he said the Colts have banned parents from games.
