Trump suggests US-Iran war to end ‘very soon’ and ‘ oil prices will come tumbling down’

Iranian official lashes out at Trump, calling him ‘worst president in US history’ Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei said President Donald Trump is the “worst” president in US history, before Trump attacked Iran’s leadership during a rally in Alabama on Friday. “After one failure after another, the worst president in American history keeps talking, and talking, and now his words have even surpassed his own fantasies,” Rezaei wrote in X. “You can win every day in your own imagination. But reality is shaped by Iran: by its people, its soldiers, and its missiles.” Trump subsequently attacked the Iranian regime, which was shaken at the start of Operation Epic Fury with the assassination of former Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “They lost a group of leaders. Then they lost another group of leaders. Then they lost half of a third group, and they had a little runoff to decide who wants to be president and there were no contestants. Everyone said, ‘I don’t want to, I don’t want to be,'” Trump told an audience in Mobile, Alabama. “And that’s part of our problem. I don’t know who the hell to deal with. There’s no one to deal with. Nobody wants to be president, I’d say, ‘Who wants to be president?’ Who do I talk to in Iran? There is no one around. Touch, touch. “There’s no one home,” Trump added. “But that war will end soon. One way or another, one way or another. It will end very soon and probably right after the midterm elections.”
