Tony Romo was disqualified from a golf tournament, on the same day CBS announced his exit

Last Friday was a very strange day for Tony Romo. It began with CBS and Romo announcing that he had parted ways with the network where he had served as the NFL’s top game analyst. It ended with Romo being disqualified from a golf tournament for submitting an erroneous scorecard. Via Chris Cwik of Yahoo Sports, the disqualification came in the final round of a Korn Ferry pre-qualifier, as Romo was trying to make the cut for the Korn Ferry tour. Romo scored a four on the 16th hole and a four on the 17th hole. As it turned out, Romo had a five and a five. Romo took responsibility for the error, which may have resulted from the fact that Romo’s trio had been placed on a clock due to slow play. Even with the incorrect score, it wouldn’t have been enough to get Romo on the Korn Ferry tour. Romo’s television future is cloudy, to say the least. Until you make your next move, you will presumably be working to further refine your golf game.
