There’s one character from Ocarina of Time that, more than any other, I was hoping to see in the new remake: bowling alley operator Bombchu. She’s my hero and somehow manages to perform the radical act of resting while that carnival song blares from her establishment’s speakers. AND! She’s a stone-cold motherfucker. The crop top! The blue pixie cut with side bangs! Those douyin-style lips! Baddie all the way. She even maintains maximum cutie patootie status in her Ocarina 3DS incarnation. It’s so iconic that people set out to find it during Nintendo’s recent hands-on preview event. See her in the remake of Ocarina for hella commotion. It’s like seeing one of your first loves for the first time in decades. They’re older and not exactly how you remember them, but they’re still beautiful. I kinda like its updated style with new features that further develop its character. Her black wristbands and dark nail polish add a gothic touch, enhanced by the deeper pinks and purples of her new knit crop top. Now I can believe she is an expert in recreational demolitions. Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got you! Developers had to do more with less in the old days, and her makeup and expressions in particular make her look much more emotional in the original. She’s very cute (even with her eyes closed!) on the N64 and she’s just… kinda there on Switch 2.
