The number is activated instantly on whichever iPhone you choose. iPhone Handoff launches with T-Mobile and Telekom Germany. Verizon and EE will add support by the end of the year and “More operators will follow.” What wasn’t mentioned during the event, however, was the fact that, at least for T-Mobile customers, the feature will cost $5 a month, as noted by Stetson Doggett on 9to5Mac checked out Deutsche Telekom’s announcement about the feature, and the carrier doesn’t charge a separate fee for iPhone Handoff specifically. However, the feature is part of the operator’s MultiSIM offering.
