Some Sony First-Party Games Have Been Delisted From the PlayStation Store

As Sony moves towards an all-digital future, it’s scary to see a handful of its first-party games suddenly disappearing from the PlayStation Store without warning, even temporarily. Fans have discovered that some PlayStation Studios games have apparently been delisted in different regions, including Knack 2, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and God of War III: Remastered, all apparently due to a pricing error. Right now, if you search for any of these games on the PlayStation Store in North America, they won’t appear at all. Fortunately, if you purchased the game before, you can still download it from your collection. In the case of God of War III, it appears that the game may have been listed for an incorrect price (approximately 50 cents) on the Mexican PlayStation Store. So it looks like Sony just pulled each of them out of the store until they figure things out. We’ve reached out to Sony for clarification on the matter and will update this story if we hear back. If it’s just a technical problem that needs solving, that’s a relief. However, as Sony attempts to move the video game industry away from physical discs and begin releasing games strictly through its own digital storefront starting in 2028, it’s a rather disconcerting reminder that the company has the power to remove games from that storefront with the touch of a button. I hope they come back soon. God forbid the world goes on without Knack 2 fantasies for long. Plus, if Naughty Dog is (unfortunately) working on a new Uncharted as reported, people will need to go back and play those original games at some point.
