Here’s how the company performed relative to the LSEG consensus: Earnings per share: Adjusted 62 cents vs. 45 cents expected Revenue: $1.55 billion vs. $1.48 billion expected. Snowflake’s revenue increased 35% year over year in the fiscal second quarter, which ended July 31, according to a statement. The company posted a net loss of $191.7 million, or 55 cents per share, narrower than a net loss of $297.9 million, or 89 cents per share, a year ago. The company highlighted gains from AI encryption agent CoCo, which now has 9,100 accounts, an increase of more than 2,000 during the quarter. For the fiscal third quarter, Snowflake said it expects $1.59 billion in product revenue. above the consensus of $1.5 billion among analysts surveyed by StreetAccount. Management raised its product revenue forecast for the fiscal year, calling for $6.07 billion, up from $5.84 billion in May. It now forecasts an adjusted operating margin of 14.5%, higher than the 13.5% figure it had projected in May. As of Wednesday’s close, Snowflake shares were up 39%, while the S&P 500 index had gained about 12% in the same period. If shares rise as much on Thursday as they did on Wednesday after hours, it would represent the fourth-highest jump since Snowflake went public in 2020.
