Woman killed in shooting outside Urban Air trampoline park in Arden-Arcade area identified. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the woman Monday as 29-year-old Samantha Sue Cromwell. Sacramento police said officers responded to the 1700 block of Arden Way around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and found two gunshot victims at the scene. Cromwell was pronounced dead at the scene and another woman was taken to an area hospital. Cromwell was at Urban Air on Saturday to celebrate her son’s eighth birthday. Her family remembers her as a vibrant and loving mother. “She loved her son more than anything in the world,” said his stepfather, Cedric Ward. “She loved my grandson DJ. She, you know, would burn the earth for him. You know that was her pride and joy. She was all about DJ.” On Sunday, police said Edward Tucker, 36, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges. Ward said Tucker was her husband, but believes she had been trying to leave him when she was killed. “I still don’t know how he located her there,” Ward said. “I don’t wish this pain on anyone.” The second woman who was injured in the shooting is still in the hospital in critical condition, according to Sacramento police. Bonita Lopez, who was inside Urban Air at the time, told KCRA 3’s Denzen Cortez that the business was full of children and families attending birthday parties when she heard the gunshots. “It was scary. It was very scary,” Lopez said. The shooting is still under investigation. According to jail records, Tucker, who is from Fresno, is not eligible for bail.
