Salinas becomes an art gallery with sculptures inspired by Mexican culture around town
SALINAS, Calif. —
Salinas has been turned into an art gallery with eight large sculptures inspired by Mexican folk art and magical realism installed throughout the city this week.
The sculptures, which depict colorful mythical creatures, were created by Mexican artists.
Three of the sculptures are located at Northridge Mall, where an opening ceremony took place today.
The Mexican Consulate, the mayor of Salinas, and several of the artists attended the unveiling.
They will be up until September 4, 2026.
