And thanks to the use of Nvidia silicon in the Switch 2, Oblivion Remastered uses DLSS upscaling technology and looks sharper than the Series S version of the RPG. DLSS cannot be transferred to other console versions of the game, as the PlayStation and Xbox use AMD hardware. Still, fans want the other optimizations to be incorporated in a long-awaited third patch for Oblivion. And it looks like that’s going to happen, indeed. “We’ve heard your feedback asking for an additional patch for Oblivion Remastered,” Bethesda posted via Twitter on August 12. “The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game has a number of optimizations that we’re looking to bring to other platforms, and we’ll share more when we can.” Another problem that players complain about in the comments: they can’t even buy the game. The physical version of Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2 has been praised by many, as the cart contains the full game. However, it seems that Bethesda underestimated how many people wanted a physical copy of the remaster, as many are reporting that stores are completely sold out.
