Apple reportedly has a big redesign on next year’s iPhone Pro models, timed to the iPhone’s 20th anniversary. The latest design leak reveals that the dream of a cutout-free display may remain a dream for now. The new iPhone Pro screen will reportedly include holes for Dynamic Island, it won’t be free of cutouts. Yesterday, Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station outlined three new iPhone models arriving in early 2027: iPhone 18e, iPhone 18, and iPhone Air 2. His main focus was the iPhone 18, which is expected to get two Pro-inspired updates. However, in a follow-up post, answering another Weibo user’s question, the leaker addressed a key design question regarding next fall’s iPhone Pro models. Apple is rumored to be working on a major redesign timed for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary. It will reportedly feature a quad-curved display that wraps around the edges of the device for a bezel-less visual appearance. Early rumors indicated that the device could also eliminate Dynamic Island to get a truly glass display, without cutouts. But according to Digital Chat Station, that’s not happening after all. After being asked if the ‘iPhone 20 Pro Max’ will still have a dynamic island or if it will feature a hole-free display, the leaker confirmed that the screen will still have holes. Therefore, it will retain the dynamic island clipping. It’s unclear if the Dynamic Island will be the same size as the iPhone 18 Pro, but since the device is expected to have Face ID, it’s very likely.
