The number of US service members reported injured or killed in the Iran war rose to 774, after the Pentagon added dozens of new troops to the wounded list in recent days. To date, 18 of those soldiers have been killed in the conflict and 756 have been wounded, according to the Pentagon’s casualty reporting system. The numbers rose even as the United States has largely been on a ceasefire with Iran in recent weeks. Some of the added troop numbers may reflect the time lag between an injury being documented in the military medical system and appearing in the casualty database.
