If you’re still struggling with Microsoft Outlook, you’re not alone. The problems that began around 8 a.m. PT on Monday continue into the afternoon. Microsoft continues to release updates on the issue, which involves Microsoft Exchange Online and is preventing many people from using the popular Outlook program. “We continue to fine-tune our remediation strategy as our internal testing progresses,” Microsoft posted to its Microsoft 365 Status account on X around 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time. “In addition, we have confirmed that the authentication component issue affects other services beyond Exchange Online.” A Microsoft representative told CNET earlier Monday that the company was investigating the issues. The issues appear to affect users in several ways. A Reddit user reported that the issues affected his office accounts at different times. “Mixed results in office,” another Reddit user wrote. “Some of us are completely depressed, others functioning well.” For some, the bugs seemed to evolve and change over time. “I started before without receiving my verification emails, now I get (an) error code when opening the app or browser,” wrote one Reddit user. As of 1:27 pm PT, more than 4,000 people had reported problems to Downdetector. That number is slightly below the 6,000 issues reported at 8:17 a.m. PT.
