The reluctant jury in Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial is fighting back after the killer’s attorney filed a motion to subpoena his cellphone records over allegations that he used his device during deliberations. Fellow jurors had alleged that reluctant juror Michael P. Desronvil was on the phone as they deliberated whether to convict Clancy of killing his three children: Callan, 8 months; Dawson, 3; and Cora, 5, prompting their defense attorney Kevin Reddington to request the records. Desronvil, however, claimed that several other jurors used their cell phones during the seven days of deliberations and even posted on social media, his spokesman Ray Marcel said on NewsNation’s Brian Entin. It wasn’t like they had taken it away and locked it away,” Marcel recalled from a conversation with Desronvil. “There were members of the jury[s] (I’m not going to name names) that they were posting on social media, supposedly, you know, during the deliberations. [were] ” the spokesperson added. Marcel, who is the host of a true crime YouTube channel, told Entin that he didn’t know if the panelists were allowed to use their cell phones during deliberations, but “they never said ‘give me your phone or keep it in this, you know, locker’ or anything like that,” based on his conversations with Desronvil. “What Michael told me was, ‘Hey, people were sitting back there on their phones, you know, that’s how happens’. ” Marcel added.
