Sources also said security personnel stopped pedestrians, searched some people and examined mobile phones, including material that authorities consider “anti-regime.” Security and Counterterrorism Committee, alleging that Iranian authorities ordered a “100%” state of readiness for the Army, IRGC, Basij and law enforcement and canceled furloughs until September 27. The NCRI also claimed that 51,000 troops had been deployed throughout Greater Tehran, including 30,000 IRGC and Basij members and 21,000 law enforcement officers.
