Iran is running out of options, Trump says, as US military continues to hit regime

3 hours agoTrump says Iran war will end ‘immediately’ after election, Tehran ‘can’t hold out any longer’ President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Iran’s war could end as soon as the election is over, while claiming Tehran is running out of options as U.S. attacks continue. “We have shot down nine of their ships. I would say the attacks are caused by us. “You’re going to see, you’re going to see a lot more. We’ve taken out about nine of their tankers,” he said. “I think the war will end immediately after the election,” Trump told reporters before saying Iran “can’t hold out any longer.” “All they want is a nuclear weapon. And if they had a nuclear weapon, the whole world would be in serious trouble,” Trump added. When asked about the possibility of a nuclear deal with Iran, Trump said he hoped for “a lot more than a nuclear deal.” “There’s a lot more than nuclear. We are going to have nuclear energy. That’s 99.9, but there will be a lot of other things on the table that wouldn’t have been on the table three months ago,” Trump said. “We’re so far over the line that they have very little country left right now, so we’re not looking for it. “It is possible that a negotiation will take place, but it is not something we are considering,” the president added.
