As teased at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, the MC Rule Set will run in Pokémon Champions from Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 7:00 pm PDT until Tuesday, December 1, 2026 at 5:59 pm PST. Pokémon that were eligible for Ranked Battles in previous regulation sets remain eligible and will be joined by powerful new contenders such as Mega Salamence, Mega Golisopod, and Mega Baxcalibur. Pokémon Champions also sees Mega Evolutions Z Mega Absol Z, Mega Garchomp Z, and Mega Lucario Z joining the fray! After the update, along with the six Mega Evolutions added, there will be 24 new Pokémon available for battle, including some that have made an impact in previous VGC tournaments, such as Rillaboom. You can view the full roster in your game by following these steps: Go to Recruit. Select Recruit Pokémon. Select Information from the list. Check out the Pokémon that appear on this list.
