Cate Allen and her husband were hoping to travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia, for their first vacation in two years. They told BBC Your Voice they had been “saving tirelessly for this trip” and have now lost more than £1.5k when their flight was canceled after a five-hour wait. Alice Goodall was due to fly to Antalya, Türkiye, with her partner yesterday when their flight was canceled around 6pm. She described the scenes at the airport as “completely free for all.” “It was so busy that when someone picked up a suitcase, they would grab it and it would fall into the crowd and people would get hurt. It was completely ridiculous.” And Chloe Smith, from Derbyshire, is now trying to rearrange her trip to Los Angeles, US, with her partner, which was “planned down to the minute” after her flight yesterday was cancelled.
