Bo Nix: Playing good and playing bad, it’s a narrative and something made up

Bo Nix dismisses the numbers. The Broncos quarterback has apparently had a down season so far. His numbers have dropped since 2025 in completion percentage (64.3 to 59.9), yards per attempt (6.4 to 5.8) and passer rating (87.8 to 80.8). The Broncos rank 30th in total offense after ranking 10th last season. Nix, however, doesn’t see it that way. “Playing well and playing poorly, it’s a narrative, and I think it’s honestly something we made up,” Nix said after Tuesday’s practice, via Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette. “I don’t necessarily think I’m playing any different than I normally play.” Nix was just 16 of 27 for 123 yards with a touchdown in Sunday’s 23-17 win over the Chargers. He only had one completion of more than 16 yards. Nix, however, sees the positive. “We’re here at 3-2 and we’re having a good start to the season,” Nix said. “There are things we want to clean up. There are things we want to fix. We’re leaving some things on the field, but we’re finding ways to win like we did last year.” [during a 14-3 season]. I firmly believe that we are going to continue doing that.”
