ASUS has listed the 32GB UGen Arc Pro B70 on its website, making it the company’s first Intel Arc graphics card. ASUS was not involved in the Alchemist and Battlemage consumer generations, and its last Intel discrete card was the passively cooled Iris Intel launched the Arc Pro B70 for $949 in March, although US retail listings now appear to be closer to $1,300. The ASUS card uses the BMG-G31 “Big Battlemage” die complete with 32 Xe2 cores, 256 XMX engines, and 32GB of GDDR6 ECC memory on a 256-bit bus for 608GB/s of bandwidth. ASUS rates it with a boost clock of 2,800 MHz, up to 367 INT8 TOPS, and a board power of 290 W, which is the top of Intel’s range of 160 to 290 W for the B70 (the default reference is 230 W). Cooling comes from a dual-slot fan and ASUS says four cards can be paired together for 128GB of combined VRAM, enough for models with up to 120 billion parameters according to the company. ASUS also joins ASRock, Sparkle and Maxsun who already have their own B70 models, so price will likely decide how well the UGen version does.
