Rumors indicate that Apple has long been working on a major overhaul of its home product line and a new leak offers a list of products to expect. The macOS code leak references many unreleased home devices. Apple’s biggest launch event of the year is just weeks away. Rumors indicate that a new Apple TV 4K, a HomePod mini 2 and the long-awaited HomePad are coming. But there are several other home products that could also launch soon. Yesterday, MacRumors discovered that the newly released macOS 26.7 RC includes references to several unreleased products. Among them are codenames linked to home devices. According to Juli Clover: HomePad (J490 and J491): “The J490 is believed to be the home hub version with a stand, while the J491 is the version that needs to be mounted on a wall.” HomePod mini 2 (B525): The HomePod mini is codenamed B520, so it’s probably the mini 2. Home Accessory (J229): Probably the rumored security camera product. HomeAccessory17,2 and HomeAccessory17,3: New mentions of unknown Home devices. ATVRemote1,5: The next generation of the Siri Remote, expected with the new Apple TV 4K. Additional home products are rumored to be in the works including a video doorbell and a tabletop robotic home hub. It is unclear whether their codenames are in the macOS 26.7 leak or not. Beyond products, MacRumors also found a reference to “Pebble,” which is believed to be the codename for homeOS. And there is a string “audio_accessory_visual_reasoning”, which could be related to the HomePad.
