With Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6.1, HiLight on the Pixel 11 Pro series now supports message notifications. After the update, go to Settings > System > HiLight to see the new “Favorites Messages: Light up when your favorite contacts send you messages” option under Talk to Gemini & Calls. When you go to a Google Contacts page, the bottom sheet of HiLight shows options for phone calls and messages that you can enable/disable individually.
