Amazon’s Bee Frontier device can be worn on your wrist or clipped to your clothing. Amazon Amazon on Thursday unveiled two new Bee listening devices, including a wearable device and a credit card-sized voice recorder, marking its latest push into the artificial intelligence device market. Bee Frontier is an improved version of Amazon’s existing wearable device that can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. Like previous generations, the Bee Frontier has up to seven days of battery life, but it’s also more expensive, costing $75 compared to its $50 predecessor. Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco startup known for its always-listening bracelet, in July 2025 for an undisclosed amount. Bee bracelets are equipped with artificial intelligence and microphones that can record, transcribe and analyze conversations. The Bee Frontier’s dual microphones have improved noise filtering, “so you can take note of what matters and ignore what doesn’t, even in noisy environments like a crowded restaurant or open office,” Amazon said in a blog post. Amazon also introduced the $100 Bee Eclipse, which works like other Bee devices, but instead of being worn, the credit card-sized device magnetically snaps to the back of a smartphone. The Bee Frontier will be available Thursday, while the Bee Eclipse “will be available soon,” the company said. Amazon is revamping its Bee lineup as tech companies prepare for the holiday season with a slew of new AI hardware. Amazon nixed its affordable Fire family of tablets in favor of three new AI-enabled Alexa tablets, while Microsoft unveiled an Nvidia-powered Windows laptop and Apple unveiled its HomeView smart home hub with Siri AI. The Bee devices will compete with other wearable AI devices already on the market. The $100 Bee Eclipse is a credit card-sized device that magnetically snaps to the back of a smartphone. Meta has seen growing momentum thanks to its smart glasses that are powered by artificial intelligence and have a built-in camera. The glasses have also raised widespread concerns about privacy and civil rights from wearers, advocacy groups and lawmakers. Meta has also announced a palm-sized pendant called the Muse Charm that runs its latest Muse AI assistant. Plaud developed a card-shaped note-taking device and Friend offers an AI necklace. Amazon’s voice-activated Echo smart speaker made users comfortable interacting with its Alexa AI assistant, but the devices were designed to start listening only when prompted for a so-called wake word. When turned on, Bee devices are always recording. Amazon says this enables key features like conversation summaries and the ability to “review memories from the past few days to remember what you discussed.” You can also track “recurring trends or themes” to provide personalized goals or actions. With a subscription to Bee Pro, which costs $12 per month, users can get unlimited conversation summaries and daily memories, as well as integrations with Amazon’s web store, its Alexa+ AI assistant, and third-party apps. The company said Bee devices are designed so that “no one, including Amazon, can access your data.” Users can delete their transcripts and summaries at any time and “no audio is ever stored,” Amazon said. An LED light signals when the Bee devices are recording, Amazon said. WATCH: First look at Amazon’s Alexa tablets
