The Browns have begun the process of establishing their initial 53-man roster. They announced 15 cuts to their training camp roster and one cut to injured reserve on Friday afternoon. The 32 teams need to cut down to 53 players before the Sunday afternoon deadline. Four of the players were released as acquired veterans. Cornerbacks Tre Avery and Tyler Hall joined offensive tackle Tire Phillips in being removed from the active roster, while tight end Jack Stoll was released from injured reserve. They also waived tight end Drew Biber, offensive tackle Jeremiah Byers, punter Nik Constantinou, safety Christopher Edmonds, cornerback Nate Evans, defensive tackle Coziah Izzard, defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins, cornerback Jeremiah McClendon, offensive tackle Izavion Miller, defensive end Jamil Muhammad, wide receiver Ben Patterson and tight end Jermaine Terry.
