Jean Silva will now fight José Delgado in the main event of Noche UFC after Yair Rodríguez withdrew from the September 12 card for undisclosed reasons; Several people with knowledge of the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting. UFC Night will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Delgado (12-2) earns his first main event assignment in his native Arizona following a pair of wins over Andre Fili and Austin Bashi earlier this year, earning him a spot in the new Meta UFC rankings. Delgado emerged victorious in four of his UFC appearances, losing only to Nathaniel Wood in 2025. Silva (17-3) will look to maintain his momentum after a decision win over Arnold Allen in January, when he bounced back from a thrilling title eliminator loss to Diego Lopes. “Lord” currently has a UFC record of 6-1 with four cashed bonuses. Rodriguez (20-5, 1 no contest) hasn’t fought since April 2025, when he beat Patricio Pitbull by decision at UFC 314. That was also the first appearance in more than a year for the former interim champion, ending his two-fight losing streak against Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega.
