ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Verizon confirmed that “multiple fiber outages” were to blame for a service outage Wednesday in New Mexico, including Albuquerque. Verizon data showed that “data, voice, text and home wireless Internet are limited in this area” when searching several numbers in Albuquerque locations. The outage began Wednesday at 11:13 a.m. Verizon said service was restored at 4 p.m. Full statement from Verizon “Multiple fiber outages caused a service outage for some wireless customers in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area earlier today. Engineers were able to resolve the issue and service was fully restored at 3:55 p.m. MT. We know how many people rely on Verizon and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
