A coveted Cooper Flagg rookie card was found in his home region of New England. Members of RhodyBreakers, a group within the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island card shop, unboxed the Maine native’s prized rookie card Monday night during a livestream. The card has attracted attention throughout the sports collectibles world. It features a patch from the jersey Flagg wore during the first half of his NBA debut with the Dallas Mavericks, as well as his signature after he autographed the card at Fanatics Fest last month. A similar, one-of-a-kind rookie card for Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million last year, and Flagg’s card is expected to surpass that value after he was named NBA Rookie of the Year for 2025-26. The Mavericks have made an effort to acquire the card. The team offered a “1 of 1 for 32” package that includes the following: Two lower-level season tickets for 32 years. A game-worn signed Flagg jersey. A postgame photo with Flagg. A private photo session with the NBA Rookie of the Year Trophy and Larry O’Brien Trophy. A VIP tour of the Mavericks practice facility and American Airlines Center with a meet and greet with the team. A “private basketball experience” for up to 10 guests at American Airlines Center. A VIP experience at the Mavericks road game in Boston, including airfare, hotel and tickets to the Mavericks-Celtics game. The Flagg card was released as part of the Topps Chrome Update 2026 basketball set, which includes autograph cards from the rookie debut patch of the 2025 NBA Draft class.
