The Delaware Division of Small Business presented a pair of checks this week to awardees of the Delaware Grocery Initiative and the First State Food System Grant Program.On Monday, August 3, 2026, $20,000 was given to the Milton Community Food Pantry for an expansion of their program to include fresh food.North Dover Elementary School received $15,000 to expand the school’s garden program.That presentation was made Tuesday morning, August 4th at Springer Middle School in New Castle County, which has a new school based garden which is to be replicated in Dover.A total of $712,000 is being awarded through the program to 28 schools and organizations.
