College football scores, live updates: Ole Miss vs. Texas, USC vs. Wisconsin, Houston vs. Utah and more

The slate of Week 8 games didn’t look too appetizing heading into Saturday, but it already delivered in a big way with plenty of surprises. The Big 12 became the battleground of the weekend as No. 2 BYU and No. 8 Texas Tech fell in surprising fashion in road games. Unranked Cincinnati defeated No. 8 Texas Tech 37-24, handing the Red Raiders their first loss of the season. Then later, No. 2 BYU and UCF had a Big 12 battle for the ages. It ended with a fourth-down stop by the Knights in double overtime for a 39-31 victory, but that doesn’t tell half the story. Elsewhere, No. 15 Iowa fell to Minnesota on a last-second kick in Minneapolis. No. 6 Indiana survived a big scare in the Big House, posting a 13-6 overtime victory over Michigan, and South Carolina toppled No. 11 Tennessee as time expired. Still to come: No. 7 Ole Miss heads to Austin to take on No. 19 Texas in a game that feels like a must-win for Arch Manning, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns. Then, the Big 12 takes center stage in the nightcap as No. 14 Houston takes on No. 10 Utah.
