SCOTRUN, Pa. (WPVI) — Authorities are investigating a double homicide at the Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. The Monroe County Coroner’s Office confirmed Tuesday that it was investigating the incident at the family compound located at 1 Great Wolf Drive in Scotrun, Monroe County. Great Wolf Lodge released a statement saying: “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains. It was an isolated incident. “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected. Out of respect for those involved, as well as the integrity of the investigation, we ask that any additional information regarding this matter be directed to the Pocono Township Police Department.” It was a small area of the resort with restricted access due to the police investigation, and if a guest does not feel comfortable visiting the resort at this time, they are given the opportunity to postpone their visit to a different date with no change fees.
