At this point in the brand’s life, Ryobi has amassed a ton of different tool offerings. Some are simple power tools for occasional use, others are designed for slightly heavier jobs, and others fall somewhere in between. However, starting in October 2026, Ryobi will announce new additions to its already considerable range of tools. Some of them will hit shelves in the very near future and will also cover a variety of situations and use cases. Of course, let it be known that these tools are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Ryobi’s overall slate of releases in 2026. Throughout the year, the brand launched several new products to attract new and returning Ryobi buyers. Some of them are new additions to Ryobi’s line of lithium tools, although most are from the brand’s larger and much more expansive battery platforms. Those making their debut soon range in voltage from 12V to 18V to 40V, and all serve very different purposes in a Ryobi tool collection. If you’re eager to make new additions to your Ryobi arsenal, you’ll want to keep an eye out for them. There are three new products on the way that you may find are absolute must-haves in your toolbox. 12V Rechargeable Drill/Driver Although not a strong selection, Ryobi’s subline of 12V tools has gained ground in recent years. The Ryobi 12V Mini Pruning Chainsaw is a standout and there’s a chance that an incoming 12V tool could also become a favorite. Starting in October 2026, the Ryobi 12V rechargeable drill/driver will be included, costing $34.98 for the tool and a charging cable. The interesting thing about this drill is that it runs on an internal battery, so there is no need to purchase one separately after purchasing the drill. Simply plug it in, charge it, and run it once the battery is full. The internal battery setup is just the first notable item you should know about this drill/driver. That battery provides the motor with enough power to run at up to 525 RPM, with a variable speed trigger present to accelerate and decelerate as needed. The 3/8-inch chuck is keyless to simplify bit exchanges; There’s a built-in LED light on the front for better visibility in the dark, and the drill is quite lightweight, weighing 2.2 pounds. To top it all off, if the workmanship proves poor in any way, Ryobi includes its two-year warranty for easy, free repair or replacement, as long as the issue is covered under warranty. 18V Storm Preparedness Kit Most of the tools Ryobi says will be available soon are just that: tools. However, one of them is actually a complete kit, designed specifically to help homeowners if they lose power during a severe weather event. The Ryobi 18V ONE+ Storm Preparedness Kit comes with five items in total, although pricing has not yet been announced at the time of publication. However, despite everything it entails, it looks like it could be a useful purchase for those facing major storms. Heading the bill are three different emergency use devices. One is an 18V, 4-inch clamp-on fan, which can be useful for everything from summer nights without power to more relaxing scenarios like tailgating. There is also an 18V area light to improve visibility with its 400 lumen output and up to 40 hours of run time. The 18V power supply connects to a battery and allows you to charge personal devices such as phones via a USB connection. It’s all powered by an 18V 2.0Ah rechargeable battery, which also comes with a charger to recharge it. This set goes even further with its warranty, which includes three years of coverage for defective items. 40V Brushless Hedge Trimmer Ryobi’s final release hitting stores soon is also the largest of the three and the one that requires the highest voltage battery to operate. Customers will be able to purchase the HP 40V Brushless Cordless Hedge Trimmer from the Ryobi website as a stand-alone tool or with a 40V 2.0 Ah battery and charger to get it up and running. Like the aforementioned storm kit, Ryobi has not yet announced pricing for this tool. That said, the company has at least revealed what users can expect from the tool, which comes from one of the top-rated cordless hedge trimmer brands on the market. For a battery-powered unit, this hedge trimmer is a respectable size. It features a 26-inch bar that is capable of delivering a 1 1/4-inch cutting capacity. As for runtime, Ryobi claims that it can run for over 45 minutes when equipped with a 40V 2.0Ah battery. The maximum run time you can achieve is 168 minutes on a 6.0 Ah unit. To make runtime of any length more productive, this hedge trimmer features anti-jam technology that prevents the blade from binding while in use. This package comes complete with a five-year Ryobi warranty for free repair or replacement should anything go wrong within the parameters of the warranty.
