The attack penetrated the target apartment and destroyed it. through the lower floors, causing further destruction throughout the multi-story building. The fires burned for at least an hour before Palestinian Civil Defense teams managed to put them out. Al-Shaer described the scene as “horrible,” with people buried under rubble while they slept.
