1 dead, 2 injured in crash on State Route 160, CHP says The California Highway Patrol said roads are closed following the early morning crash in Sacramento County. NOVERD, California — One person was killed and two were injured after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Highway 160 north of Antioch. The CHP’s South Sacramento division said around 5:30 a.m. a Kia Forte was driving north on State Route 160 when it crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a Ford F-250 pickup truck carrying equipment. The driver of the Kia died in the crash and the two people who were in the truck were taken to the hospital with injuries, according to the CHP. CHP is investigating and it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor. State Route 160 was closed at Sherman Island Cross Road for several hours due to the crash. All lanes are now open.
