The story of what happened inside a dilapidated brick duplex in North Philadelphia has yet to be fully told. As one police inspector said of prolonged sexual violence: “It’s dark. Very dark.” Since mid-summer, behind a cordon of crime scene tape in the working-class neighborhood of Olney, homicide detectives, FBI agents, cadaver dogs and evidence technicians have been combing the property for clues to what was happening in hundreds of thousands of lurid photographs and videos.
