The Press Room of the Holy See publishes the program, logos and mottos of the next Apostolic Journey of Pope Leo XIV to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru, which will take place from November 6 to 17. Vatican News The Holy See Press Office has published the program for Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming apostolic trip to South America in November, during which he will visit Uruguay, Argentina and Peru and travel to ten cities over twelve days. Parallel to the program, the logos and mottos of each of the three stages have also been revealed. The Holy See had already announced the dates of the trip and the cities to be visited on August 5, but the program released today reveals more details, including times, places and activities. The motto of this stage of the visit will be “I bring you great joy”, taken from the angel’s announcement to the shepherds in Bethlehem (Lk 2:10). The logo, on the other hand, shows Christ crucified and resurrected, flanked by Pope Leo and Our Lady of the Thirty-Three, patron saint of Uruguay. Above them is the sun, inspired by the “Sol de Mayo”, symbol of the national identity of Uruguay, while the blue color evokes the national flag. The logo of the papal trip to Argentina November 8-11: Argentina On November 8, Pope Leo will travel to Argentina, where he will remain until November 11. The program includes visits to Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Luján. The visit will be particularly significant since Argentina is Pope Francis’ home country. Saint John Paul II traveled there in 1987. The motto of this stage will be “Welcome everyone. Go and proclaim.” The logo represents a group of people with a cross in the center. The arrangement of the figures suggests a shared path, in which each one participates with a sense of co-responsibility: from the encounter to the announcement, as missionary disciples on the way. to Peru, where it will remain until November 17. This will be the longest leg of the trip and will include stops in Lima, Chiclayo, Cuzco and Pucallpa. The visit will have a particular meaning for a Pope who has been carrying out missionary and pastoral work in the country for years. Inside there is a map of Peru, on which the Holy Spirit is represented. In the shape of a dove, in the center is the Pope, surrounded by the Peruvian saints Santa Rosa de Lima, San Toribio de Mogrovejo, San Martín de Porres, San Francisco Solano and San Juan Macías.
