Two people were killed and police said there were “multiple serious injuries.” CANTON, NY — Two people are dead and others are injured after a crash involving an Amish buggy in St. Lawrence County. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash, which occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday on County Route 25 in Canton. Officers responded to Route 25 near the intersection of Little River Road. According to the preliminary investigation, two people died in the accident and multiple serious injuries were reported. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by several emergency response teams including the New York State Police, Canton Police Department, Canton Fire and Rescue, Colton Fire and Rescue, Parishville Fire and Rescue, Pyrites Fire Department, Ogdensburg Rescue, Star Lake Rescue and Potsdam Rescue. The investigation is ongoing.
