5 hours agoDuring 9/11 speech, Trump reiterates that “Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.” President Donald Trump, during remarks at the Pentagon to mark the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reiterated that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. “For 25 years, our best and bravest have kept America safe, and today we salute all members of the United States military who served in the war on terrorism,” Trump said. “It’s a sick, horrible war on terror, and we love you, and we love you,” the president said. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who spoke before the president, also delivered a similar message: “Our only answer here on Earth is eternal vigilance. That is, indeed, the price of freedom. There are still enemies who hate us. Every day, enemies conspire to curb our power and kill our citizens, including Islamic terrorists abroad and at home. But we are always vigilant, especially in this place, especially in these people,” Hegseth said. “Our warriors have fought against an Islamic theocracy that has wished us dead for nearly half a century. They cheered on 9/11, a regime that has sponsored terrorist attacks against Americans for decades, killing thousands, including our comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan,” he continued. “But they didn’t take this president into account. We are still destroyed, sending the terrorists where they belong, hell, and the oil tankers to the bottom of the ocean, where they belong, and we guarantee that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon,” Hegseth resolved.
