While the US and Australia enjoyed pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 almost immediately after the dedicated Zelda Nintendo Direct, those in the UK had to wait patiently for the listings to go live. Well, the wait is over and pre-orders are now starting to become available from the UK Nintendo Store and other UK retailers such as Smyths Toys. But act fast, as I suspect the special edition console and accessories will sell out remarkably quickly (as they already have in the US). This is where you can lock in your pre-order and which stores to keep an eye on as pre-orders continue to go live today and the rest of the week. Amazon is also now taking pre-orders for the Switch 2 Pro Controller, but charging £89.99 instead of £79.99 like other retailers (doesn’t include the display stand like the Nintendo Store). There is also an automated queuing system for those trying to access the site, so keep that in mind too. The special edition comes decorated with Hyrulian imagery and costs £434.99 through Nintendo (no game included), or £429.99 through other retailers such as Smyths and Very. The Joy-Cons 2 are green, with an interlocking triangle pattern and a gold Triforce on the bottom of the left grip. The dock features a similar Triforce design, but is gold and black. Also note that the first printing of Ocarina of Time will include the shiny aluminum box art, which looks absolutely stunning.
