Arjun’s gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6, releases in October

Just yesterday, Capcom announced that the trailer for Arjun’s gameplay would be released today at 4:00 pm PT / 7:00 pm ET. He is the second representative of the Season 4 DLC after Yasmine. When Arjun was first revealed, we learned about his “extraordinary lung capacity.” It is thanks to this that it allows you to access your yogic breathing techniques. You are also armed with unique bare knuckle yoga techniques. Arjun was originally a police office based in India. However, certain events apparently led him to be accused of his colleague’s murder, prompting him to go on the run as he attempts to uncover the truth of the incident. We previously heard from Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama how the developers are really trying hard to make the season 4 cast feel different from the rest of the roster. “So in terms of fighting styles and what you can expect from their playstyles, we can say that they definitely feel unique and different from the existing roster,” Nakayam said in an interview with IGN. Nakayama wasn’t willing to divulge too many details about Arjun, but he did mention that there would be a dance element incorporated into Arjun’s fighting style in Street Fighter 6. “Arjun is a unique character who will feel very different from everyone else. And we can’t go into details, but I will say that there will be some kind of dance element to his game,” Nakayama continued. As expected, Arjun is one of the largest characters in Street Fighter 6. He is about the size of Marisa. Despite its size, it is also quite mobile. When he is able to take down his opponents, he can easily advance with the intention of continuing to pressure them. Using his aforementioned yogic breathing techniques, he can generate a projectile and then kick it at unique angles of attack. Opponents won’t be able to simply jump off these types of projectiles if they are at the right angle. He is also armed with a powerful shoulder charge move that takes him almost the entire length of the screen. If you connect the attack against a blocking opponent, the screen will shake to indicate that you have frame advantage as a reward for precise spacing. Arjun can also generate an air geyser at various distances. After a set time, the geyser will cause the Earth to erupt upward, which is especially ideal for Okizeme settings. In a moment, Arjun is able to hold his breath and walk forward. During this sequence, Arjun is given super armor until he unleashes a powerful attack in which Arjun exhales a huge gust of wind. Finally, the “dance element” that Nakayama was referring to earlier can be observed in Arjun’s level 3 super art. Due to the way Arjun initially unnerves the opponent, it appears as if they are being attacked by multiple instances of Arjun as he attacks them with a series of breath bursts. Towards the end of the trailer, it was revealed that Arjun will be released on October 13, 2026. Click on the images to see larger versions.
