The video game adaptation of the iconic ’70s slasher film allows players to have sex in a closet, but a video of this minigame featuring Samuel Loomis raised eyebrows given that the character, who is in his fifties during the events of the game and is based on the likeness of the late actor Donald Pleasence, can have sex with teenage girls. Halloween: The Game doesn’t actually fully launch until September 8, but those who purchased the Deluxe Halloween Edition were able to play starting this weekend, and it didn’t take long for players to notice the sexual mini-game.Samuel Loomis in Halloween: The Game is based on the image of Donald Pleasence.The game includes a number of playable characters made famous by the Halloween movies. Bob Simms (voiced by Nicholas Leung), Annie Brackett (voiced by Kaitlyn Robrock), Lynda van der Klok (voiced by Angela Carbone), and Laurie Strode (voiced by Chelsea Krause) are playable civilians in single-player and multiplayer. Samuel Loomis’ character is the psychiatrist of series antagonist Michael Myers and tries to stop his patient from committing a murderous attack on Halloween. In the video game, Loomis is a “civilian hero.” In the game, two players can hide in a closet. If you hide in a closet with another player inside, you will receive a message asking them out. If you do this and the offer is accepted, you’ll get a minigame of pressing buttons to lift a line on a bar while the camera shakes and the characters grunt. If both players hold the line on the right side of the bar long enough, they will fill a heart and both characters will gain the “Stronger Together” buff. You can imagine that the Pleasance heirs, if they weren’t aware of the actor’s likeness being used in this way before, they probably are now, have a dim view of the game. IllFonic hasn’t commented yet (IGN has asked), but released a review this weekend immediately following the game’s early access release. The removal of the sex minigame is not mentioned in the patch notes.
