Google is launching the September 2026 Android Drop today with a number of important features. Find Hub remembered Find Hub and Gemini can now track things that don’t have a tracking tag. Now you can tell “Gemini to remember where you put the important items.” For example, “Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in my bedroom drawer,” with the ability to add a photo. The location will be saved in a new “Remembered” tab in the Find Hub app. You can also ask Gemini for its location with a voice command. This is rolling out to Android 16+. Motion Assist Motion Assist on Android 17+ will help reduce motion sickness with a subtle bubble overlay on the screen that moves with the vehicle. There is also the option to change the color and shape every few seconds. Gemini Live Guided Vision Gemini Live is adding Guided Vision to offer “verbal descriptions of what’s in front of you.” Use cases include “reading fine print on a food label, ordering from a menu in a dimly lit restaurant, or locating household objects.” If your camera is out of alignment, voice feedback will guide you to reframe, pan a space, or center an object to get the answers you need. Guided View is available as an accessibility shortcut or through the TalkBack menu. This is “coming soon to Android 9+ phones in countries where Gemini is available.” Google Messages Keep Integration Following the widespread rollout of Chat themes, Google Messages is adding Google Keep integration. This allows you to “share and update shopping lists or vacation notes right within your chat.” A “Create List” suggestion and a shortcut to the “more” menu will display a sheet that allows you to start creating.
