A franchise in Edmund, Oklahoma, was recently spotted with a sign out front advertising the T-Rex Burger Challenge, which rewards participants who finish the towering nine-patty cheeseburger with all the fixings in nine minutes with a t-shirt and a special prize, Allrecipes reported. The burger costs $29.99, according to the sign. which was posted on Reddit in early September. “Do you think you can defeat the T-Rex? Try it,” he boasts. Lauren Manaker, a dietitian in South Carolina, told Fox News Digital that enjoying “a novelty burger like this has less to do with daily nutrition and more to do with the experience.” “A very large, highly processed meal can contain a lot of sodium, saturated fat and calories in one short sitting, which can make some people feel uncomfortable afterwards, especially if they eat it quickly,” she said. “If anyone wants to try it for fun, I recommend sharing it, slowing down, and balancing the rest of the day with plenty of water, fruits, vegetables, and other filling foods.” TRY OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ An Edmond, Oklahoma, employee told Fox News Digital that the promotion is expected to roll out at restaurants across the state starting Sept. 10.
